A VideoScribe alternative
VideoScribe alternative: from your document to a finished film.
VideoScribe is an editor: you build scenes from its image library on a timeline, with AI help for the script, images and voice. Frametell is not an editor. You hand it a topic or your material, approve a storyboard, and it makes the whole narrated film.

Hand it what you have
A one-line topic, or a PDF, slides, a Word file, an EPUB, Markdown or images.
- 02
Approve the storyboard
Before anything is drawn, the director shows every page: what it shows and what it says. Cut, reorder or rewrite, then approve.
- 03
It writes, voices and draws
The script is written and voiced, and every page is drawn in the style you pick, Whiteboard, Chalkboard or about 27 others, timed to the words.

Which one fits you
Frametell fits if you want it done for you
You have a policy, a lesson or a deck and want a narrated explainer at the end, not a project to assemble. You approve the plan; Frametell does the drawing, the timing and the voice.
VideoScribe fits if you want to direct every scene
Its site describes scenes, a timeline and camera moves, a large library of hand-drawn images, hand styles, templates, square and vertical sizes, and projects you keep editing as things change. It also offers AI script, image and voice tools, and you can record your own voice. If you want that control, VideoScribe is the better choice.
What Frametell doesn’t do
No timeline, no image library, no uploading your own voice-over, only 16:9. You change a film by pointing at a page and saying what to change.
Not for realistic people, characters or photo-to-video. Frametell draws explainers; it doesn’t film.

Questions
Is there a free VideoScribe alternative?
Frametell is free to start: 500 credits when you sign up, about 2–3 one-minute films. After that, plans start at $20 a month. Films made on Free carry a small Frametell mark.
Can AI make a whiteboard video for me?
Yes. Give Frametell a topic or a document and it proposes a storyboard. Once you approve it, it writes the narration, voices it and draws every page, timed to the words.
Can it turn a PDF or a deck into a whiteboard video?
Yes. Drop in the PDF, PowerPoint or Word file. Frametell reads it, plans the pages with you, then writes, voices and draws the film. It explains what the document says rather than showing your pages.
Can I make vertical videos or use my own voice?
Not today. Frametell exports 16:9 and narrates with AI voices. If you need square or vertical sizes, or your own recorded voice, VideoScribe offers both.
Is my material used to train AI?
No. It is used only to make your film, and you can delete it any time.
